I had an umbilical hernia repair about 15 years ago...

I had no serious pain after about 2 days, and was very cautious in movement for about 2 weeks, but had no serious pain during that time.

Unfortunately, I did have recurring episodes of acute pain of the pulling, cramping, very sharp variety that is often associated with adhesions. But I consider myself lucky that most of the time I feel nothing, and only occasionally do I have an acute episode of pain. I think it is also possible that my pain is intestinal spasms and not adhesion pain - or maybe adhesions triggering intestinal spasms.

Absolutely not. Something is wrong. Unfortunately I cannot be very helpful about what it may be. Can you describe the pain in detail?

Bob
