Jackie,

I am so sorry to hear about your pain but it sounds alot like me. If it wasnot for my husband and rock I would be in the looney farm. I had to retire from work which was working for an OB/GYN for 4 years doing the insurance billing. I went to him for help when I first started with him because I was in severe pain. He performed 3 laps and one laporatomy and I had already had a total hysterectomy in 1995 ( they removed everthing including my uterus). During the four surgeries my doctor did for adhesions he also found endometriosis. After all of this, after my last surgery, he told me that I was going to have to stop depending on pain medicine and that there was nothing else he could do. He suggested hypnosis since I quit smoking after 30 years with hypnosis. I have tried surgery, pain management, hypnosis and now accupuncture. The only thing that has helped me live a half way normal life like yours is oxycontin 40mg three times aday with norco for breakthrough pain but no more than 4 aday. I also have a very caring internal medicine doctor who knows that adhesions cause pain and he also diagnosed me with irritable bowel syndrome. Please don't give up. Ask this group if there is anyone they can recomend in your area. Sometimes you just want to sit and cry but that doesn't help (Lord knows I tried).

Good Luck and don't forget that we are here !!!! Lynn Creacy
