I too had the same thing happen with me. I was diagnosed with stage 4
endometriosis and had several surgeries to removed the endo. But after my
5th one I think, my ob/gyn told me that little endo was found, but lots of
adhesions were formed.
I had a total abdominal hysterectomy (TAH) and with a surgery I had a few
years after my TAH they found endo as well as severe adhesions. So I guess
that even though a TAH is performed you can still have endo, but the sad
thing is you'll have the adhesions because the surgeries had for cleaning out
the endo.
