Shali from Sally

Dear Shali, Hi, you ask about the doctors at Penn(N.Y.C.) or Germany and wonder why we would spend so much money and travel so far. There are good reasons. The basic one for me is that they know what they are doing. It's possible that your local doctor could do a good job, but after having my bladder sliced open, I don't want to risk any more damage. Having your intestines cut and having all that bacteria in your abdomen would be awful. You could die from the infections. Compared to your intestines, your bladder is " relatively" germ free. Just because they come back is not the doctor's fault. And I do believe that they come back less with the doctors who have done it hundreds of times than with someone who may be nice, but has only done it three or four or fifteen times. Hope that makes sense to you. Love, Sally
