Impacted stools are so hard that they will not come out of the rectum. I don't know how long you can go safely without having a bm. Are you distended? Do you vomit? If you are feeling really bad, please get to an emergency room. I'm not a medical professional, but this is my advice. Why have you had obstructions in the past? This is what I am so terrified of. At the e.r. they should take some abdominal xrays, and do bloodwork, at the least. Good luck and let me know what happens. Milie.
