Dear Barb,
I had the intergel used on me in Nov 2000 in Germany. I had surgery
there & was covered in adhesions. A week later, I had 50% reformation.
I came home knowing I would have 15-30% reformation. I did have surgery
locally in August 2001. I was opened up & had "not too many" adhesions.
The Dr said that the trip to Germany must have done some good. He used
seprafilm during that surgery. Right now, I am trying to raise money to
go back to Germany for more surgery. After surgery in Germany after 4
months, the pain slowly returned. After the surgery here, my pain was
back almost fully by 3 months. In Germany now, they are using a spray
gel, that is supposed to be the best thing yet. There are a few that
are adhesion & pain free, but most are not around here any more. Your
best chance is with a specialist.
I hope this information helps. Welcome to the board. You will find a
lot of information & support here.
