Dear Maya, Your story is so similar to most here. We go to the doctors and they operate and then we are in agony and then they tell us adhesions don't cause pain (ASSUMING THEY BELIEVE IN ADHESIONS AT ALL).Please go into the http://www.adhesions.org site and print out the information from past emails from Helen Dynda about pain, etc. and take them to your doctor.

Document your pain in a daily journal. Read, read, read in the adhesions site and try to convince your husband to take a role in going with you to the doctors and demanding better pain control. Try to find information on the pills they want you to take including the side effects. Print it out and tell them you do not want to pollute your body with something that won't help.

Good luck. If you can afford it, and can go to other doctors outside the military, try to find one through Dr. Wiseman at the adhesions site. There are lots of good doctors in some parts of the country and none in others. I've found one here where I live within 150 miles. Maybe further. Even with all that it's still an uphill battle, but we have to fight to get relief. With kindest regards, Sally Grigg
