Dearest Susan:

This is only my opinion, but I believe that your doctor is giving you the right recommendation. If you read the quilt you will see that so many IAS members have had surgery after surgery after surgery trying to get rid of the adhesions only to have them come back time and time again. Some have ended up much worse than before the surgery. If you have questions about an obstruction, please ask your GYN to explain what symptoms you will have and this may ease your mind. Please read the info. at the IAS board and this will better help you understand what is going on inside of your body and what symptoms you would notice if this were occurring. I am not a medical professional so I cannot give medical advice. Many of us here have decided to stay to pain medication rather than risk another surgery at this time until our odds are upped to a successful surgery without the adhesions returning.

In Friendship,

Helen C.
