Sorry that I haven't been on the board lately. Seems when I get so far behind I find it hard to come back and get through the 500 e-mails. I am doing fine (hanging in there as many of us are).
When I went to my pain specialist this month I found out that my wonderful, caring, compassionate doctor had been raided by the DEA, FBI and the VA Medical Board. I believe this happened because he believes in treating the chronic pain patient and is not afraid to dispense opiods, including (oxycontin)! He has worked with the DEA previously in turning in those he felt maybe selling the drug, but they still have gone after him, as they are going after so many doctors in the country. It seems the DEA is not going to be happy until they get oxycontin pulled off the market, even if it takes taking down every pain specialist in the country.
Please take the time to sign the petition below to save this wonderful drug that is so needed by the chronic patient to have some semblance of life.
