Dear Christy:

Boy is your surgeon full of baloney. As Jo said, adhesions can attach to any organ inside your body and from abdominal wall to abdominal wall. Where do these surgeons come from???? I remember my GYN telling me that adhesions stretch and in time I would be fine; what a joke. I was not fine; who the heck is fine with their bowel hanging off their abdomen, their cecum pulled inside their bladder, adhesions pulling on the vaginal cuff and rectum, also the colon, small intestine which will not allow you to eat, large intestine not allowing you to potty, your gall bladder, etc. Why not list all your other organs and ask him how the adhesions decide not to adhere to them? Perhaps you should find a surgeon that knows what he is talking about, but I would let him know how wrong he is so he doesn't misinform other young women and tell them if they have a hysterectomy they won't get adhesions again. Gosh, my hysterectomy is what caused me to get the darn adhesions. They certainly found every their way to almost every organ inside my body except for my heart and lungs.

Love,

Hell-yun
