I pulled this site up this morning and found it very interesting..Maybe
someone will be familiar with my Moms sitution and can offer some
help..She went to the GI yest. asking for her colonoscopy ( every 2
yrs). He stated that he never even did the one from 2 yrs. ago,
because of all the scar tissue in her colon..couldnt get the scope
up..She was fuming because he never ever told her or my dad the results
of this..When she asked about why he never said anything, his response
was that he had sent the info. to her Internest and she should have
followed up.. ( do I see law suit, for negligence?) Im sure the
internest will be not real happy when she hears about this..Anyways. The
reason I am writing is I just dont understand how scar tissue gets into
the colon..Or is he saying the adhesions are from outside of the bowel
and have capsulate the colon? She is petrified, lots of colon cancer in
her family and has to get a Barium test done in a couple weeks, since
they cant do the colonoscopy. She is diabetic, has mitral valve
prolapse..Shes not been well lately with her bowel movements.she breaks
out in a horrible sweat at times when shes going.. Im pretty good on
picking up new information, but this one is just beyond my scope of
things I am familiar with.. Any information would be greatly
appriciated.. thank you very much.. Linda
