I am 44, I was 43 at time of surgery...this passed March by Dr. Redan and Dr. Gerhart, I had extensive adhesiolysis, cholecysectomy and appendectomy. I was in the hospital overnight and went back to hotel late the next evening, and drove back from Pennsylvania to Virginia 2 days later. (My hubby did the driving I should say). It may be because of your age that he wants to hospitalize you for the length he's speaking of. The doctor's, and nurses and and all staff were more than gracious at the hospital. I wish you the best.
I am still on the healing well and still on strong pain medication. But striving to make it through, I see a pain specialist on a monthly basis to help deal with the pain.
