Jean, RSD (Reflex Sypathetic Dystrophy Syndrome) Yes, I know it all to well!! That is the reason for my name Brokenwing because I had a hemangioma removed from my left under arm in 1994. I have alot of pain and lose circulation in it, I have lost strength in it and I cannot hold things in it for very long. The Dr.s say it is RSDS and I went through the pain clinic thing several years ago. I went through several nerve blocks and many differant pain meds. I became a walking zombie in alot of pain!! So I stopped going to the clinic and I have just learned to live with the pain. The Dr.s I went to seem to use the term RSDS because they didn't know what was wrong with my arm.The last specialist I went to for it a couple years ago said they might have to amputate it,I went flying out of his office as fast as I could. Well looking back on it now I know he told me that hoping to scare me away. It worked!!! All this was before I learned I had adhesions and what adhesions were. Now I am wondering if I could have adhesion in my arm.Kinda crazy HUH! You might be able to find info. about it on the internet. You sure have been through alot and I hope you find some answeres soon. The only thing you can do is try what ever you feel comfortable with. I would go ahead and try for disability what is the worse thing that could happen, You might get denied which you usually do the first time so you just apply again.I know this isn't the info you were looking for but I just wanted to share with you what I have been through. Thanks for the thought of the day It made me think cause I seem to cry more than smile these days. So it would really confuse my family.LOL You are in my thoughts and prayers!! XOXO Your RSDS Buddy!
