Dear Sally I had the problem with my intestines not only slowing down, but they were hardly working at all. I had a test done that showed this. We (several Drs & myself) were sure that it was from the pain meds I was taking. My PCP put me on medication just for that. It worked great! Once I had my surgery & then was off the pain meds, my intestines started working again. Maybe you can see about getting something like it to help until you can have surgery & get off the pain meds. Keep your chin up! Robin
