Dear Cheryl, I am trying to get all of my medical records released to myself, too. Last week they called me and said that the ob/gyn hadn't yet had my hospital and discharge records transcribed. It has been 5 weeks. I was told I could fax a handwritten letter with the specifics to the med. records dept., and I wouldn't have to go through the ob/gyn. I'm sure she'd give me a hard time - like with everything else. Just keep after them, and don't let them think that you will give up. Be persistent. I had the same problem when I went for a second opinion to a ob/gyn. He called the original ob/gyn and left at least 3 messages, and the calls were never returned. Good luck. Millie
