I hope you don't mind but I thought I might add that brittle nails and ridged nails is also a symptom of thyroid problems. Also dry and brittle hair. I have hypothryoidism and have these symptoms. I also have the pulling in my lower left side and groin area. I have a lot of the same symptoms with you on this. It bothers me more at night. i think because that is when I am trying to sleep and during the day I get busy and don't pain it as much attention. It sometimes helps to change position. This has always been one of my big signs of adhesions. That and also the back pain which I still have. If you haven't been doing anything to pull a muscle, how can they say that is what it is?
