I wish I had the answer. The last time I was in the hospital, they used the naso-gastric tube for a couple of days to see if they could resolve the small bowel obstruction, but it didn't work.
Perhaps the NG tube will help avoid another laparotomy. I find the number of surgeries your wife has had astounding. I've had six and cannot imagine doing this on a regular basis. Each surgery takes longer and longer to heal and leaves me more and more depleted. She must be overwhelmed.
