pain and heat

hi everybody when you have adhesions, can anyone tell me why when i get severe chronic pain And swelling does my abdomen feel incredibly hot on the outside and a feeling like i've been cut open without and anaesthetic ?????????????
I think i may have a kink in the bowel but how would i know apart from me having to be on morphine and the incredible sickness lethargy and well you all know the rest, but how will i know for sure
why does alchohol seem to help with severe pain ???????????
