Dear Members:

Since this seems to be confession time, I too will confess that since my surgery in June with Drs. R&R that I have never been pain-free. I feel that I am better than before the surgery, but I am not totally better and have to take narcotic pain medication daily in order to function at a somewhat normal level. I do feel that I am only getting worse, and who knows what each week will bring.

I am at a loss myself now as what is the next step to take with my life; where do I go, who do I see, do I start all over with more tests and more tests. Is it nerve damage, is it adhesions?

By the end of every day my body is racked with pain, but when I wake in the morning the pain is gone from resting. Then as the day progresses it's like what ever is there is re-injured and the pain starts all over again. I've had episodes where I am out in a store and my body seems to lock-up and I can't take another step without getting pain pills into my body so I am able to move.

I feel as the rest of you do, where do we go from here?

I am one of the lucky ones as this was my first operation for lysis of adhesions. I will never ever be the same person I once was. I am also lucky as I have a wonderful pain specialist who believes that I am still in pain after my operation.

What depresses me so are the ones who have no doctor to take care of them, and as I said previously, those who need assistance in finding one, please feel free to contact me.

Is there anyone that has had surgery that is pain free, or are the ones pain free no longer here with us?

Love, hugs, tears for all of us....
