Susan, I get so upset when I know people are suffering needlessly. Pain
medicine is for people in pain! Don't some doctors know the difference
between addiction and dependancy?(sp?) Maybe you could print some info
from the website ACTION ON PAIN and give it to your doctors. I too was
at the end of my rope with my surgeon. He would not perform surgery
until I had another bowel obstruction. My quality of life was rapidly
going downhill. I had to take control even though I really didn't have
the strength. With the info from this forum on Scranton,PA, I decided
to give it a try. My husband and son contacted Drs. Redan and Reich
via e-mail. (I was in the hospital for pain control and more tests)
They responded right away and I am having surgery Oct. 30th. Please
Susan, don't give up. I do know how frustrated and lonely you feel. If
there is anything I can do to help, please ask. You have the support of
