Dennis, Unfortunately, the body is in control of the healing that takes place after a surgical procedure or other trauma. Researchers are at work trying to perfect a gel adhesion barrier that a person's body will accept; but after the FDA did not approve Intergel January 2000, there are no predictions as to when any of the several gel adhesion barriers will be ready for FDA approval

Currently, the best and only way to help your mother is for her to be seen by a specialist, who does surgeries for adhesions on a daily basis. The best adhesions specialists in the United States are located at Scranton, PA. If you are interested in learning more about them, you have my permission to email me.

My mother is 54 years old, she lost half of her stomach over 20 years ago due to ulcers. Since then she has been forming adhesions in the abdominal region, and had them removed time and time again. Is there anyway to prevent them from bounding her up??
