I too had a hysterectomy in 12/99 and do have adhesions. I experienced intermittent pain which I called my good days and bad days. I experienced pain from right side of incision site to right side of abdomen to up under my right rib. In answer to your question, in the beginning I experienced times when I had very little pain to days when the pain was so severe I went to the emergency room. I found that my pain would disappear for up to 3 days (enough time to make me think it was gone or had I imagined it) only to reappear with a vengeance. I experience more pain upon any activity or when my bowel is full.
