Re: Fibromyalgia vs. Adhesions

Hi Kimmi, Thanks for your post and understanding! Yes I do think my doc just knows the word but has no clue how to check and treat FMS. I'm going to ask for a referral to someone who does know, but who would that be? Would a rheumatologist know? An ortho doc? I guess I should be glad the Dr. even knows and believes in FMS, some don't! But I'm not sure it is my problem. I think I have several different things going on, some caused by adhesions, some caused maybe by muscular/skeletal problems, some internal things going on, etc. My PCP is approaching it as if it's all one big problem which it is not. I had a big fight with my PCP this week about it in fact because I feel he should be doing something and apparently he's happy to just keep me on pain pills indefinitely. I wanted an MRI, thinking it would show SOME thing, but I am told by the doc and others that it probably wouldn't show anything. So my doc won't order it. He isn't referring me elsewhere for diagnostics either, which makes me mad. I am NOT just accepting this passively without fighting for diagnostic tests first! Anyone know anything about when intergel will be apparoved and ready for use??? Have a Happy New Year Kimmi, and all. Gina

PS: Kimmi, Yes the pain radiates to my lower back and front pelvic areas, right kidney, hip and buttock areas, front center abdominal area hurts as well. Not sure where the original problem is and whether all of this pain is radiated from elsewhere or not.
