RE: Forbes: Endometriosis - The danger within Well, for starters.....here are a few address's. I am writing to them as well...we have Alger interested I think, so a few more can't hurt. Karen suggested we write to ted Kennedy as well, so i am securing his address also! Do you know how to cut and paste from the web to office? that is an easy way to get information transfered from any of your prior postings on the iAS forum...ok? Hey, Are you in DC? The big guy is headed out your way...pretty cool! Bev

If your message needs an immediate response, I urge you to send Mrs. Gore a letter through regular mail at the following address: Office of Mrs. Tipper Gore OEOB, Room 200 Washington, DC 20501

It is a good article regarding endo, but it is sad that they cannot say the word, " ADHESIONS! " Scar tissue is mentioned, but this article doesn't begin to touch ARD ( adhesion related disease ) and what people suffer with. ARD is not only a woman disease, and it is much more common and costly then endo....soooo, maybe we all write to Alexandra Alger c/o Forbes and send a few of our story's as I will bet that there isn't even an awareness of ARD out there. And if they think that endo is costing money...wait until they look into ARD! This may be our first in as far as getting ARD recognized and focused on!

I know I am going to write this author ( I am not sure if Alexandra is a male or female, my guess is female, but?? ) ARD sufferers, think about writing your story's, let the world know how desperate we are, how mush we suffer, and then maybe our employers, DR's, insurance agents, and family and friends would see that even though we may " look " ok, we are truely sufferring with a disabiling, devastating disease...and one that is greatly ignored! That in itself, ignored, is a sin, but can easily be done as who knows about it in the right places to get action on it..no one, at least no one who will admit it!! Helen, thank-you for printing this article as we do not have the magazine in our town yet and I was running all over trying to get a copy...now I'll save my money to mail out my story to Alger!!! Bev
