Laura. I have had a few communications with Mayo clinic regarding ARD as well as my own appointment with them and they knew nothing. They put me through lots of tests and came up with " pain " didn't even care to discuss adhesions as a cause. They are of the opinion that adhesions are not problem unless they cause a bowel obstruction...but they do offer to call in a surgeon if you have ovary's or a uterus and remove THEM as a cause of your pain...and that is without a diagnostic laporoscopy!! Just a straight out offer!!

I have sent Mayo a loy of information as well as adhesiolysis surgical videos...all to the ob/gyn and surgery dept! Plus information on the IAS! So, just maybe you will be treated with a different persepecitve..but I doubt it! If it were just me that was treated like this at the Mayo clinic when I ptresnetd with adhesion pain, I wouldn't say anything, but it appears to be a common pratice...I think if you look in the past forum postings of JUNE or JULY you will see a few postings from others who were not treated for adhesion pain at mayo.... But you have to do what you think will work and until you exhaust all your avenue, you will never know what might have helped. Good Luck! Beverly
