8 yrs ago I had a tubal ligation which resulted in a preforated bowel & peritonitis(sp?) I had pain & problems for several yrs after the surgery due to adhesions. 7 weeks ago I started back with excruciating pelvic pains & numerous tests later found nothing wrong-Dr is now suggesting exploratory surgery & adhesion removal. I understand the risks-but am not sure what else to do- I am on codene now which takes the edge off but I cannot go thru what I have been thru the past 7 weeks - was in ER a few times & out of work 7 days total. Would love to find a Dr locally that deals with the adhesion barriers. All Dr's I have spoke to are clueless about adhesions - I get more off the Internet than I do from them. Can someone please give me some guidance- I don't know where else to turn. Monday my Dr will be giving me the name of a surgeon but I want to be fully armed with questions. Thanking you in advance for your help!
