TAH is probably a BAD idea. I've had one. The changes it will make in your life are tremendous and your doctor won't tell you all of them. A few of the changes that come with a TAH are: loss of orgasms (or at least a lessening of their intensity) mood swings, forgetfullness (we call is brain fog) etc. Also, doctors tend to tell you that they can make everything like it was before with hormones. NOT TRUE! There is an internet support group for women who are considering a hyst. It is free. I urge you to either contact them at: http://www.findings.net/sans-uteri-faq.html This site will give you some information on the list itself and you can view information and make an informed choice about whether or not to allow someone to do this to you. If you do not have time to check out this list, the one thing that seems to make a huge difference in whether your hyst. is a positive or negative experience is whether or not you keep your ovaries. There is much more I could tell you but this response would be too long. Please e-mail me privately at samuels1@us.net and I will give you much more information.
