Pat,
 Your case sounds very similar to one my friends. She had cancer and hysterectomy, chemo and such. She would have bouts of vomiting sometime worse than others. It didn't have a regular course.  She had adhesions causing these attacks.  She had surgery in Dec 97 and is doing great.
