I have read all the posts on doctors and pain and would like to say that we
have been through many similiar times trying to get adequate care, meds,
tests. Lately, a doctor that had seen my wife years ago who we were referred
back to from her current PCP, took a completely different attitude toward
her. He has done a few more x-rays and decided that she has a partial
obstruction and has recommeded to find a surgeon to do the next operation.
He was going to find the surgeon! That's a new twist for us. In the past we
almost always had to go from doctor to doctor.
He also has no problems with the pain meds she is on, but we still have to
get them from a pain facility. He readily admitted it was adhesions and
NEVER argued with her. It's was a shock to NOT be treated poorly.
Hang in there people. There are some doctors that are changing. It's not ALL
a business.
