Hi Ruth: I was re-reading some posts and notice you've been to the pain clinic recently. You said they gave you a prescription for daypro. How did this work for you? I am curious because I am interested in once a day dosing and that's what daypro is, isn't it? I would just like to add my two cents about what you said about refusing narcotics. Don't you think that maybe when you do this you are minimizing your pain to them? In other words, they could think, this lady can't be in so much pain since she's being so choosy about what we give her. Maybe if you accepted their offer, but showed them that you plan to use them wisely because of having to be alert for your children's care. If you really do need the narcotics, maybe using them only at certain times like bedtime or on weeknds (if you have someone else to help you care for your children) would give you a much needed break from your pain.
