Michele: Words of advice: Pray! Pray that God will bless your doctor with the skill needed to intervene on your behalf, to restore you to good health. Pray that your own body will cooperate and heal without additional adhesions. Ask your doctor if he has had any experience using the barrier films or gels. It is not conclusively proven that they work, but since you are going ahead with the surgery, it is the only product on the market specifically targeted at adhesion prevention. I think the surgeons familiarity with the use of the product may have some bearing on the success of its use. Also, as I have been told and will admit there is truth to it: most people who have used barriers and been helped, may no longer correspond with support groups for adhesion sufferes--therefore, we may NEVER KNOW how successful the barriers are. So, you MUST PROMISE to keep us all posted. In the meantime, we will all keep you in our prayers. Good luck! KHG
