health insurance/careers

Hi all! I am just curious, what do most of you do for health insurance?
I ask that in light of my Cobra coverage ending this month. Being I
have had 3 small bowel obs (full) in 27 mos. it is close to impossible
for me to get insured for the future. Well until 2014 wherein the
preexisting conditions portion of Obama-Care will take effect.
Are most of you able to hold down careers?? It seems to be we are in a
Catch-22 of sorts, that is, we are not eligible for disability, as there
is no guarantee of having to have more surgeries that cause these
adhesions. But how in the world to hold down a job if we end up with
re-occurring surgeries???
