Hi Dawn!   I am so pleased that I read your story as it is almost exactly the same as mine and I thought I was going mad.   Long time suffer of endo which caused me to have a total hyst age 39.  I hoped that the operation would cure my constant abdominal pain but it came back just as bad.  I had a lap and was told that my insides were bound by adhesions - bowel attached to stomach wall and adhesions looped round my bladder.    I had a take down and spray two years ago but only had a small window of relief:(   Now I have constant lower right sided pain, leg burning and shooting pain right down to the foot.  Doc says that it is nerve damage or pinch and there is nothing much I can do about it.  She won't refere me (I'm from the UK and you need a referal from your GP to see a consultant:() as she thinks that there is no way they will open me up again.   What I am worried about is my appendix which I begged to be taken out at my cut down only to be told that they could see it but couldn't get too it through all the adhesions.  The pain I get is suffer from is so like appendicitus and I often run a low fever at nights with it.    I'm left in constant pain, on pain killers that make me so drowsy that I can barely function.  In fact, I'm so desperate to stay in my part time job, I don't actually take them in the morning and pretend to my co workers that I'm not in the agony I am.  I then medicate and sleep the afternoon away so I can cope with my family when I come home - it's such a miserabe existance:(   There just doesn't seem to be any experts in adhesions in the UK, my Gyne doc did my take down opp and I didn't feel at all confident in his ability. Ann-Marie   I'm so glad to fianlly find someone with the exact same symptoms of mine racy.joslin@adhesions.org> Subject: Trapped Nerves by adhesions To: "Multiple recipients of list ADHESIONS" <adhesions@mail.medispecialty.com> Date: Sunday, 27 February, 2011, 2:54 Sender: Dawn <whity631@yahoo.com> Subject: Re: Trapped Nerves by adhesions

Hi Karan, I have nerve damage caused apparently from the adhesions in the abdomen wrapping around them then once cut loose during surgery I guess is how it happened. The pain is in my left side and extends down into my left leg. My right side has always been my "good side" until lady august I had to undergo another surgery to remove more ovarian remnants, appendix and more adhesions. Now, my right leg is causing me problems too. I see a new pain clinic doc at the end of the month and hope he can come up with some better options for me than my current plan which is taking hydro's, flexeril, klonopin and some other stuff. Good luck to you! Dawn

Since 2005, I've had 3 surgeries due to Adhesions...the last being in March 2010.  The pain is back, been back a while...seeing a Surgeon next week for "trapped nerves" by adhesions in the lower abdomen.  Has anyone had this before? They gave me 2 injections into the nerves...(made me say very bad words)...it helped with the pain, haven't had to take any pain meds, but it's only temporary....Anyone had this?
