Dilaudid is also available in pill form...to take orally. I was on it for about four months until I saw Dr. Redan in Florida. Very worth going to see him!!!!!! Wonderful man! Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

Hi Shelly H. The only time I have ever been given dilaudid was through an IV for pain. I had a procedure done that has so far ruined my life. The first 5-6 weeks I was in and out of Urgent Care. There is a place called SHAPES, my gastro referred me there for IV therapy because my pain was out of control. I was given Dilaudid both times along with a nausea med, and Saline for dehydration. I also ended up in the E.R on the weekend for the same thing and was given the same meds. Did you go to the hospital or urgent care, or anywhere else that may have given you an IV and pain meds? Anything not related to adhesions that you may have had done at around the same time? Was your test mixed up with someone elses? I just wanted to tell you how Dilaudid is used. Good luck!
