It sounds like you've been through nothing but trouble.

Have you ever tried to see one of the surgeons here who deals with adhesions. I originally had adhesions in 95 but they were never a problem. But I did find out later that the endometriosis I had contributed to them. Anyway when I had problems majorly in 04 after a major surgery I fought for a couple years trying to get doctors here in Utah to take care of things. They did go in once but unfortunately they made things worse because they had no clue how to take care of them properly. I was in misery 3 months later they let me go for another year and a half. I finally said (as a nurse) something needs to be done. Two surgeons later here and multiple visits to the Er. I took over and found a specialist who would help me.

Yes I went through all the drama that goes along with this disease. My husband couldn't hang in with me. We were divorce officially 1 year ago between my two surgeries with the specialist in pa(2006) he gave up on me. We battled this for 4 years straight. Finally after my Second surgery with the specialist I have been much better. 2 1/2 years without surgery. Still was married but still recooping. He still couldn't continue because he wanted me to be 100% Unfortunately because the docs here let me go about 6 mo too long i ended up having a section of bowel that tried to atrophy.

I still deal with problems with that but I am so much better after seeing Dr Gerhart http://www.clarkgerhart.com No I will never be 100% and may have to have surgery again for these things but I know their is someone there for me that knows what he's doing. I wanted to quite many times but God has been good. I have primary custidy of our 16 year old and our 21 year old has lived with me until reciently. I'm not back to work full time but I"m working on an inhome business. Took a trip across country with kids this last summer. Don't give up. If I were you I would at least see if one of these docs can help. Dr Gerhart is in Wilksbarre pa. and is great. by contacting him and sending him records at least he can give you some advice. And I wouldn't be surprised that he could help you dramatically. There have been others in your same situation. And we fight in anyway we can to get the help we need.

(by the way I originally had a ruptured appendix and other surgeries too not as dramatic as yours.. but my ones in o3/4 were pretty dramatic.)

I know you feel like there is no hope but their is. We have to have it. It's what keeps us going.

Marlene Again go to http://www.clarkgerhart.com and talk to him.
