I got those in the past and it ended up being a hernia hidden behind my uterus, unable to be seen by CT's or xrays. Unfortunately when the Dr fixed it he used dissolveable thread, so when I started having similar pain a year and a half later, I thought it had ripped open. But it wasn't, the adhesions were attached to my bladder and that is what was causing the groin pain, so very possible.
