Need help finding Dr. in Tennessee. Background: 2 C-sections, hysterectomy-bladder lacerated, emergency surgery 2 days later to repair. Severe stomach problems(unable to go to bathroom for long periods then vomiting and extremely sick as if blockage) for year and a half before seeking help. Found out I had enlarged ovary. Had surgery to remove grapefruit sized ovary that was attached to colon and other ovary removed covered with scar tissue. Took 2 surgeons 4 hours to remove my ovaries and appendix. Thought this was my problem, but still sick. Sought out 2 different gastro Dr.s and told I have irritable bowel. On my check up with gyno, told him about problems and since he had seen my insides, he thought it was scar tissue and did lap surgery. Found large amounts of scar tissue around loops of intestine and bowel. Removed what he could. Was afraid to touch scar tissue around colon. Have remained sick since-surgery was Dec. 2007. Went to Gastro specialist at best hospital around. After Sitzmark test and anorectal manometry that he said were in the normal range, he said it was a motility problem (his specialty). He wants me to take Doxepin and Mirilax daily. I have done this before to no avail. He said it couldn't be scar tissue-that my colon was probably clinching up. I am at my wits end. The thought of having to live this way the rest of my life is not acceptable. Does anyone know a good, caring Dr. or have words of advice?
