Tiffany,   >From all the years of scan and adhesions, I've always been told they cannot
see scar tissue on ANY scan.  I dealt with very similar symptoms for years.  A stabbing, nagging pain in the rt. flank for years.  Finally last year, I thought I felt a lump there...and so did my internist who referred me to a surgeon.  He felt it would be either scar tissue or a "fatty tumor".  Well...he went in and poked around to find no tumor, just a bunch of hard, clumped up scar tissue that he removed a little of and left the rest because it was superficial.  I still get pain there sometimes, but not that stabbing pain that used to be there.  Hope that helps a little.   jeanne surdo
