There is a therapy out there called Myofascial Release.  Your insurance company will cover it.  I had it after my surgery in November 2003 (laparotomy).  But I am presently getting ready to now have a bowel resection!  I have 2 partial bowel obstructions which I am afraid are now completely blocked.  I have been on nothing but liquids for almost 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I don't have insurance with my job and my husband lost his job and just started a new one (thanks Michigan!!!) His new insurance kicks in on Septembe 1st. We (the doctors) are hoping my body can hold off until then.  But I have to say that the Myofascial Release helped for a long time, so you may want to ask your doctors about it.
