Natalie,
I feel exactly what you are experiencing. I too was on Zelnorm with no
apparent obstruction. The Dr.'s called it IBS also. I think it is IBS
symptoms due to an adhesion of intestines to another structure. It is
intersting because the commercials say no Zelnorm for adhesion patients.
I called the company and they would not comment on why. I would also
have major burning like my stomach was going to explode in the middle of
the night. It is so frustrating. I can feel food moving through my
body because I know that I have an adhesion to some structure on my
backside. It feels like there is a snake squirming through my body. It
is driving me insane. I am considering Lap-band surgery so I have very
little desire to eat instead of not eating for 2 days and then pigging
out. Good luck.
