I had to resort to the use of Actiq 600 mcg (Fentanyl suckers) and eventually ended up on a morphine pump. Oxycontin is not very effective since it's an oral form of pain control. You really need to see a more progressive pain management specialist, and yes, you are probably already physically addicted, but what's the alternative? Like you said, the pain permeates every aspect of life. I finally went to Cedar Sinai Medical Center

in Beverly Hills and had surgery with a Dr. Phillip Fleshner. That was in December and I have been both off the pain meds with the help of a pain specialist and totally free from pain. It's so liberating, I'm like a new person! I was on the opiates for 2 1/2 years, so I can tell you all about addiction. I beat it, though, and so can you. I used Suboxone with great success and have been completely off all medication since January 29th 2006.

I'll keep you in my prayers. Reba
