Hi Melody- I've had to obtain all of my medical records for my claim for Long Term Disability from my employer, and they've accumulated to about 170 pages. I purchased a medical dictionary and began looking up one word at a time to make sense of some of the phrases. I've also just entered each word into a search engine on the internet to see if any articles come up that contain those words, then read the articles to get a better understanding of what the words pertain to. You'd be surprised at how much you can learn that way! I've had four surgeries for ARD, and on one of the surgical reports, it was mentioned that I had, "mesenteric adenitis". It took a lot of research to find out what that one was! Finally find out it means chronic inflammation of the lymphnodes! Well, Good luck!
