Be careful about accepting the IBS diagnosis,
this is the catch all phrase when they cannot
find anything definative. I was given this
diagnosis in the past just to find out many years
later by GI team, I have two fistula's
communicating from the small bowel into large
bowel [causes a food shortcut]. This is a
complication of to many surgeries and adhesions.
I am not a candidate for surgery NOR would I
OPT for any more, until things become life
threatening, nothing will be done because the
fistula treatment is a double bowel resection
and good chance for colostomy.
Fistula's are very hard to locate or find and
mimic IBS symptoms.
