I hate to say it but it could be either irritable bowel syndrome, which is sometimes caused after obstruction surgery or adhesions again. Unfortunately, more surgery usually means more adhesions unless you can find a qualified doc in your area to use a scope instead and use seprafilm or spraygel or something.

My son had a bowel obstruction almost 3 years ago, post a major trauma to his liver and surgeries. Now he is having intermitent abdominal cramping with no vomiting or diarrhea.
