Jeanne, I don' t understand the burning in your thighs, but I would have it checked out by a specialist. It sounds like it maybe some form of an inside infection going on. Is the skin really red? If so then you need to seek medical attention asap. As far as the back pain is concern, it maybe several causes.
First would be adhesions, but unfortunately there is no special tests to confirm this, also I would suggest seeing a back doctor who could run some more extensive tests such as an MRI to find the cause of your pain and to rule out anything that could be life threatning.
