Tamie, I am in utter shock that there was an article in your local paper about ARD. Where can I get a copy of that? I really need to see it as my friend and I are trying to develope a way to get the word out about this debilitating disease that has ulitimately becoming a world wide epidemic.

As for your situation my advice would be not to have any more sugery unless it is life threatening. As the more surgery you have the more adhesions develope and will ulitimately can make you become capacitated. Unfortunately, there is no cure for this disease as of yet. But, here are some suggestions you might want to consider.

1.- Find another doctor who will listen to your needs and help you to consider all of the other options available to you.

2.- You may want to seek a pain specialist in your area who may be able to help deal with your pain and be able to live a productive lifestyle.

3. - Change your eating. There are alot of foods out there that may cause you even more pain. Seek a nutrition specialist who can help you.

4. - The best but not least is try and start walking everyday. This has help me a great deal.

5.- There is a website where you can seek more answers: http://www.adlap.com. There are adhesion specialists on this site who can better assist you as well.

I wish you good-luck and please stay away from ever having surgery again unless it is life threatning. I will keep you in my prayers always, Dee
