Hello, For the past month I have had a lump in my vagina which the doctors say is a acute infection. Before that whenever my husband and I had sex I could feel something rubbing causing me pain. Recently, when I was examined for the pain the doctor notied I did have a band of sharp and jagged scar tissue in my vagina(due to 2 vaginal births)which he said was being inflamed by the infection and was probably causing me most of my pain. I asked if he could take it out since it was causing me pain even before the infection. But, he said no that it would cause more harm than good. My question is, since I am having pain especially during sex with this should I have the scar tissue removed after the infection has subsided? And how can I get my doctor to remove it, since he is totaly against it. Thank you
