Hi Deborah;

Most of us are in the same situation as you are. You need to know that there is help. The best way to get on with some type of life is to seek out the help of a Pain Management Specialist. Make sure however to bring your records with you when you go, so they can see a history of adhesion related problems.

Once you are regulated on pain meds you should start feeling a bit more normal and less like giving up. Hopefully this will be the case anyway. Surgery should be held out only for emergencies, because each surgery causes more adhesions.

You should also educate yourself the best you can by reading the adhesion quilt and a lot of the posts here. You really will learn so much. And it helps to know that you are not alone in this.

Feel free to email me anytime for support if needed. jlrealtor@ev1.net

All the best -

Janine
