Hi all. I have been suffering from severe constipation for around 5 years. I had a laparoscopy 7 years ago as I was having difficulty getting pregnant. All they found was an ovarian cyst. Eventually I fell pregnant a year later. Since the birth of my daughter I have had worsening constipation. When she was 2 years old I had another laparoscopy and was told I still had ovarian cyst and also bowel adhesions which are attached to abdominal wall. I have twice been to ER with bowel impaction which enemas wouldn't shift. Have been feeling really nauseous and went to ER with a hugely distended stomach over Xmas. Was put on a drip and kept at hospital for 10 hours. X ray showed dilation of small intestine. I am seeing a bowel specialist and gynaecologist on 14th January. Does anyone know whether it is likely that something will get done. I have to take laxatives every day to pass anything and my stomach is getting bigger and I am feeling more and more nauseous. I also feel very tired all the time. Just small amounts of food make me feel very full. PLEASE HELP. I am just hoping that I can hang on til the 14th January as I feel like going to ER right now. I have a constant ache in my tum, but no real sharp pain, just occasional sharp pains. p.s. I have also been told that I have something in my uterus which they need to investigate. Scarey or what.
