Dear Julie, I can definitely understand what you have been going thru. I just had my 10th surgery last yr in which I had a surgeon who nicked a main artery. He never informed anyone to what he did and I ended up in ICU for a couple of days with units of blood given to me. I tried to sue him, but to no avail. Attorneys don't want to work for their money anymore. They want slam dunk cases.

Anyways, I can tell you from experience, that having any more surgery will only make matters worst. It will only relieve the pain temporarily, but then the adhesions come back always worst than before. You need to seek a pain specialist and also a gastroenterologist. These specialist can help you overcome your pain and give you a better quality of life. You should only seek surgery when you have a partial bowel obstruction or a cat scan shows something else. Cat scans and x-rays never , ever , show adhesions. Only when a lap is done do they show up. I have been to the ER 23 times this yr due to abdominal pain and nothing ever shows up. As usual I am sent home with meds. This ARD is a vicious circle, but there is hope for sufferers like you and me. There are also several website you can check out. It is in the adhesions.org website on the right hand side of the screen.

I wish you the best of luck and will keep you in my prayers. Dee
